Serosi A short poem built down from a name
한국어Stand the letters of a name in a column and it becomes a poem. For each syllable you get Korean words that start with it; the rest of each line is yours. When it is done, keep it as a card.
Words come from the National Institute of Korean Language vocabulary list. Nothing is invented, and the name you type never leaves this screen. The word bank is Korean only: type Hangul syllables or initial consonants.
4875 Korean words. Search by initial consonant or by syllable. The poem is written by you, not by a machine.
Browse by initial consonant
Every word that starts with each consonant, on its own page.
What this site does not do
It does not write the poem for you. It shows candidate words; joining the lines is your work. That is why the same name gives a different poem to every person.
It does not store or send the name. The letters you type, the words you pick and the lines you write stay in the browser, and the card image is drawn on this device and saved to this device.
It does not invent words. Every candidate comes from the National Institute of Korean Language learner vocabulary list, with profanity, slurs and names of real people removed.
